It's been a while....

So it's been nearly over a year since I last posted on here.. And things have changed.
I went to Florida in December, came home celebrated Christmas with my family. Actually managed to stay off work.
Second year of my nursing degree and my god it has been trying, and some points I wanted to quit. However got my shit together finish my second to last placement an got signed off.

I then got that dreaded letter of my cervical smear test.. which really wasn't much to dread until I received my results. I was told I had abnormal cells, which needed further investigation. Thankfully my mother has been so supportive along with friends and i got seen quickly. I went on to have a colposcopy, which is where they take a biopsy.. Things went from bad to worse 2 weeks later I had a dreaded phone call telling me i had abnormal cells, which were on the high end and could lead to cancer and I needed to go and have a procedure to remove them. Within a week I was in hospital having my procedure to remove those pesky cells, luckily my nurse was very kind and calming. I was in and out within a couple of hours thank god.  It's now been over 4 weeks since the procedure, I'm so grateful I had my smear before 25. I honestly think it should be done at an earlier age.. Morale of the story when you get your letter for your smear, go have it girls! I'm due my 6 monthly check up in October which hopefully i'll get the all clear.

Finally, I'm in my last placement of second year my exams have all been completed. I can not wait to finish this year, and be on the countdown to next July!

Anyways until next time

Life update...

Hey guys, so it's been a long time nearly a year since I wrote on this. The last time I wrote on this was just as I was starting as a University student. Fast forward nearly a year, here I am stay tuned if you want the down low on what's going on in my life.

So in October I rand for a good cause i'm not the fittest of people, yeah still working on trying to improve that... I ran 5k doing the pretty muddy challenge which is in aid of cancer research! It was so much fun i'm even thinking of giving it another go this year, anyone who's thinking of doing it I encourage you to do so whether you walk, run or jog you are doing it for a good cause. Go out and have a laugh and get pretty muddy!

Just before getting rather muddy!

Just a few weeks after myself and Jay went off to Orlando again YAAAAAY! We did just under three weeks, it feels like a lifetime ago that we went now, but it was by far the best holiday. We made some new friends, did a lot of hanging out, played mini golf and just overall had a laugh. I couldn't of wished for a better holiday, here's just a few snapshots of the holiday! If you follow our Youtube you can follow our holiday.

I actually got chose in Olivanders wand shop!

We did the 4 parks one day challenge!

Polaroid fun at Dapper Day!

We swam with dolphins at Discovery cove

Moving on swiftly we came home celebrated Christmas, I actually worked Christmas last year. However this year I'll definitely be off!
January I started my first clinical placement I was on a surgical ward, which I did really enjoy. I did go and watch some surgery which was interesting! The only downside was all the travelling. I finished my placement in March, went back to University for some theory work.  Was actually nice to be back and not waking up at 5am every day!

April/ May the warm weather started coming in so we took plenty trips to the beach, I actually love being near the coast. So lucky to live where we do having the coast and Dartmoor on our doorsteps.

We took a trip to longleat which is super fun, if you have kids going through the Monkey enclosure will give you plenty of laughs!

In May I started my final placement of first year! I'm out of hours community nursing, which is fun as you get to see a variety of people. At the minute I work all nights so I'm practically a vampire sleeping during the day and walking at night. I also like to fool about on snapchat in the office when we're not busy! I finish my placement in two weeks, and that's my first year as a student over!

I can honestly say it has been trying but I know after three years it will be worth it!

So now you have the down low on my life at the minute, i'll try to keep a bit more up to date! No promises though with summer break I might be able to manage a bit more.

I hope you're all well!

I'm a what?!

So it's official, I'm actually a University student now. Serious head on and thinking cap for the next three years! How exciting, so I haven't updated you on my Results With Lucy Plan 3 weeks in..

But this is what I'm going to do right now, so keep tuned.
I took a slight break whilst settling in at University, but with 4 weeks until I jet off to America I need to shift a few more pounds.

So i'm feeling overall in better condition, I feel fitter and healthier and happier.

Left: Currently Right: Starting

Left 3 weeks into the programme, right beginning of the programme.

Here's a two progress photo's, I don't see any major differences. But i'm always one to point out my own flaws rather than the positives.

However here is my up to date measurements, i'll put the starting ones in too!

♡  Starting weight: 156.4lbs, Current weight: 151.6lbs = Total loss 4.8 lbs
♡ I'm still wearing size 12/14 clothes, but my jeans are becoming looser (hurrah)
♡ Hips- Starting: 37.5inches, Current: 36 Inches = Total loss 1.5 Inches
♡ Waist- Starting: 32 inches, Current: 30.5  = Total loss 1.5 Inches
♡ Bust- Starting: 38 inches, Current 36.5 Total loss 1.5 Inches

So I'm currently 4.5 Inches less all over!

Does this plan work? Yes, if you put the work in and have a healthy diet and follow the meal plan you will see results. If you're prepared and organised this plan can work, book half an hour to 45 minuets out of your day to spend working out. Pre plan your meals, if you take your lunch to work or buy out, prepare your lunch the night before. You'll thank yourself when you see results! You can head over to https://my.resultswithlucy.com/plans/ to select the right plan for you, if you're a student like myself. There is a student plan or your can use UNiDAYS to get discount.

I'll catch up in couple of weeks to show you my 6 week end results.

Week 1... Into Week 2

As promised an update on my journey with Results With Lucy.
So I'm part way through week two now, so I've survived my first week (Wooo).

How am I finding it, normally i'm used to a quick warm up and a HIIT session.
So with Results With Lucy, you have your warm up then go into 4 different other sessions (this can include full body workouts, or focussing on different parts of the body) My favourite is doing time under tension!

I'm definitely in the swing of things, whether its 10am in the morning or 10pm at night I get my workout in. I am enjoying the Wobble to Model plan, however it's just getting out of the swing of doing HIIT sessions. The workouts on this plan definitely works every part of your body and it builds up a sweat.

Week 3 I'll be posting and update photo and measurements as that will  be halfway through, I'm super excited to see changes happening.

Check back next week to see the progress!

Happier, Healthier and Getting Fitter

So if any of my lovely readers follow me on twitter, you'll know that i'm about to undertake a 6 six week intermediate plan. You'll get nothing but honest reviews and how I feel, I'm going to try and post weekly depending on my schedule at work.

As from my previous post's you may or may not know I was a little on the large side....

I decided after this photo was taken I was determined to loose weight and become healthier. I'd like to say it's been easy, truth is it hasn't. I've followed the slimming world plan which has got me to where I am today.

I'm currently at 156.4lbs, wearing size 12/14 clothes. My measurements are as follows:
♡ Hips- 37.5inches
♡ Waist- 32 inches
              ♡ Bust- 38 inches

Right now I'm happy with how I look however with weight loss comes the need to tone up your wobbly bits... And that's exactly what I plan on doing on The Results With Lucy- Wobble To Model plan.

So what is it? Wobble to Model will progressively challenge my fitness over 6 weeks, to help lose excess weight, whilst really focusing on strengthening and building muscle.

So here are some before photo's...

So six weeks first workout starts tomorrow, lets do this! Check back weekly for my updates.

Finishing college...

So for the past year I've been studying and working hard, I've not posted here for a little while. As i've been finishing off my final pieces and sitting exams.
It seems the hard work has paid off, I'm into university and i'll be on my way to achieving my dream career (How exciting)! So now I'll be off to do some stationary shopping, watch this space.

In other news it's 87 days until  I go to Florida with Jamie, we're spending 18 days in the sunshine state. I'm looking forward to a well deserved break. In the countdown to Florida I'm going to be doing my best to tone up and drop one more dress size! This girl is on a mission.

I hope you're all well, and I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of blogging again.

Puppies & Ice Cream along with achieving that summer glow

So it's coming to the time of year where I should be getting super excited for Glastonbury. However this year i'm not booo, instead this year i'm looking forward to finishing my exams and passing my college course.

I've been rather quiet on thee old blog front lately due to working and doing college. However fear not i'm back to it bringing you the latest on my Disney planning, and my favourite buys.

Who'd have thought it's nearly summer and I'm sat indoors with tights and a thick cardigan on.. It's totally different to a few weeks ago where I was at Jennycliff feeding bailey ice cream in the sunshine.

So that leads me to my next subject my favourite buy at the minute, which has given me a lovely glow.. And that's my bondi sands every day gradual fake tanning lotion.

I've tried so many gradual tanning products before such as Garnier and Dove, however I also end up looking like and orange zebra. This gradual tanning product I use everywhere including my face, the first time I used it I have to admit I was skeptical of ending up looking like an umpa lumpa. Instead it gave me a lovely glow I tend not to use it everyday on my face, but i do on the rest of my body and I have to say it's great. It doesn't smell like fake tan, it doesn't give me streaky legs and it keeps my skin hydrated so it's 10/10 from me and it was on offer in my superdrug store! It's also a pump bottle so it's supper easy to use.

Next up I'm loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade, it's a waterproof brow colour so girls if you're going swimming this is definitely a product to use. It stays on for a long time I work sweaty hot shifts in my local hospital, and my brows are the only thing that still look in place when I finish. I couldn't recommend this enough, i've been using it for a good 2 months now and it barely looks like i've touched the pot. This is going to be one of my essentials in my make up bag when I head to florida later this year. You can buy Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade from beauty bay for a bargain price of £15.99.

I also bought a few other products along with it! I've still not used the eyeshadows yet as i've not had the chance, as soon as I do you'll be first to hear.

So that's it I'll put a post up later in the week about how the holiday planning is coming along and how to have a magical Disney vacation!

See you real soon...
