Joint Birthday Celebrations & Glastonbury

So this blog post is way overdue, but I've been finishing off my NVQ! Working and I went off to Glastonbury Festival.

So first off I've finally turned 22, me and one of my good friends Erin our birthday's our like days apart. So it made sense to do joint celebrations, my lovely auntie did my hair and did my lashes for me! So we started the night at mine and had some pre drinks after we headed into Plymouth, was a really good night and it was lovely to spend it with my best friends!

So after the weekend of birthday celebrations it was time to pack my festival back pack, and head to Glastonbury Festival. We left Plymouth just after 4pm got into Glastonbury town centre just before 7pm, we had our annual Chinese meal before heading to the car park. Luckily for us as we headed to the car park it was open early at 8pm, so we got a space pretty close to the entrance!
Wednesday morning arrived it was time to climb that hill to the gate, I have never ever been in such and unorganised mess to get into a festival. People were pushing barriers  down and cutting in so my festival was already off to a bad start! Then Jim got a tent without an inbuilt groundsheet, so come the end of the festival I could of filmed another Bugs life film.

Again this year I spent a lot of time in the theatre and cabaret field! I ventured to Shangri-la, never again. The crowd control was atrocious, I don't expect it to be military crowd control but I do expect some crowd control. It was just bodies everywhere, if i'm honest Glastonbury Festival has became very commercialised and people go there for all the wrong reasons. I did see some great acts, but unfortunately I spent most of the time worrying about whether my bag was going to get nicked, or having to keep battling through people. The majority of the time I saw people doing drugs, to the extent there was a parent with a toddler on their mothers shoulders and she was taking mushrooms... It seemed to me the Police were very blind to this, unfortunately I doubt I will be heading to the Festival again. Unless they clamp down on the drug issues.

I had great company but the bad outweighs the good, next year i'll just head away! So sorry Glastonbury you just don't do it no more for me.

However here's so positivity It's nearly in double digits for my holiday countdown! We've got a little left to pay and we're done, just a few tickets to buy and we're set. I'm so excited just to get away from England and have me time! So from now on expect a few more blog post's from me.

Unit next time....
